Our Story

Inspired by the docks
that shaped a city

Anchor Works is built on a proud legacy.

We’ve honoured Cardiff’s industrial roots and used them to inspire our vibrant new neighbourhood.

Built in 'Butetown'

The 2nd Marquess of Bute built the Cardiff Docks, opening the way for coal and iron exports on a global scale.

Established on Dumballs Road, the Anchor & Chain Testing House played a vital role in safeguarding Cardiff’s ships.
