It started with anchors and chains ...
On Dumballs Road once stood the Anchor & Chain Testing House — where colossal machines hauled at heavy ship chains to Admiralty standards. Every link tested here helped keep Cardiff’s ships safe as they carried coal and cargo across the world.
Today, Anchor Works takes inspiration from that legacy. Where anchors and chains were once proved strong, a new neighbourhood is now being built — celebrating Cardiff’s industrial past while shaping its modern future.
